I Care For Aiah - Support Aiah's Tumbler Of Life

Aiah’s condition after her 9th discharge (Oct15 2010) from PCMC hospital details below:

- mechanical ventilator dependent 24 by 7 (electric bill is killing us almost 20thousand pesos per month)

- chloroquine as immunosuppresant (free from DOH)

- daily oxygen consumed by Aiah is 6tanks (equals to 3thousand pesos)

- ventulin (nebule) every 4 hours

- suction catheter #10 and gloves (used once after nebulization)

- pediasure milk (every two weeks)

- NGT Tube (every week)

So far yan ang mga immediate needs ni baby Aiah. She is well taken care of with these items available around her, pero pag wala ang mga ito o naubos na, madalas na ang blue spell color condition nya o pangingitim at susunod na ang dadalhin na sa hospital.

Nais naming makagawa sa maayos at malinis na paraan at heto ang aming naiisip upang maipagpatuloy ang gamutan ni Baby Aiah at makadagdag o makapuno sa mga mamahaling gastusing ito.

Sana po ay maintindihan nyo ang aming paglapit. Sa halagang 300 piso ay makaka-ambag kayo sa pagdugtong ng buhay ng isang batang naka depende ang paghinga sa isang Mechanical Ventilator machine…

It seems like a robot in the making because of those tubes,wires and life support gadgets connected to every part of baby Aiah.

How can I stand without these tubes, wires and life support gadgets? I don’t know when could this last, I was not a politician and I will never be, but I will not stop in campaigning to raise funds for my medications and gadgets need, hope you can donate. To anyone who is free of obligations and free of giving some of their extras for donation, please, kindly send an alms to our baby Aiah, she is still critical in both side of situation if discharge and if not discharge.
If not discharge from ICU she might acquires some infections that she might be of another reason for her to stay longer to hospital and for possible series of management of expensive antibiotics and procedures.

Thanksgiving With Love, Aiah

Last Friday, 11 June 2010 Baby Aiah needs to perform another round of lab tests (Blood CS and Urine CS) a partial of 2,010.00. She got sick around 2 am of this day, that is the reason of the ICU doctors for these lab tests.

What we have is our faith and our persisten hope that everything will be okay as lons as we will not stop in seeking ways to make this through, even our money in the pocket is around 200.00 pesos only.

12 noon we have got fund for this partial payment to make the lab tests required to Aiah, it seems everything is now between will we go or will we stop. Everyday is a hard decision that we need to face with all faith, hope and love, we always need a toughnees for our baby aiah who symbolizes for us the resistance to fracture of a material when stressed, she is indeed a fighter.

We are not limitting our selves to hit our best shot to always provide all medical needs of Aiah, what a sigh when we realized that we are prone in reaching our limit of elasticity, “Sagad na ang lahat, resources, lakas, emotional, mental”.

Another tiring day (Today, Sunday 13 June 2010) to look for fund for additional lab test of aiah, worth of 2210.00. This seems small but if you only have less than 500.00 in your pocket and to think you will be needing to support some other else like for your cost of living and your other child.

What a fast decision and a creative ways need to be made to raise enough for this fund. But we did not get our luck, we failed to submit aiah for this required lab test.

We are really appealing to our dearest friends again here, we very blessed that we have still aiah and her will to make it, makes us stronger everyday even there is none in our pocket to fund our own needs as long as we see her in ICU, full of hope and full of love.

yesterday was a very long day.thought it wouldn’t end.

at 1AM, AIAH HAD A HARDTIME IN BREATHING…again, neb and then suction. had an abg, she retained carbon dioxide. at 5am, WE STARTED AMBUBAGING…until now… she was so pale, NEED A BLOOD TRANSFUSION. blood costs P1,200.we don’t neccessary have to buy the blood…we can save money for other things we have to do for aiah. there is another option, find donors. we contacted some people to ask to donate blood for her. some replied…but didn’t confirm. so we wait…wait…and wait. time is running…she was so pale, having a hard time in breathing. oh! i forgot to mention, her feeding was on hold again. i have to find a way. i asked my friends in the hospital, room mates in room 119, fellow mothers to donate. they were scared but finally they said yes. we were 3 who went to the blood bank but both of them were deferred. one is underweight and the other has low hemoglobin. i ended up to donate alone. unfortunately, clotted. but they said it was counted as 1 donor. i have to find another donor again.
aiah was transferred to room 121 (intermediate i.c.u.) to closely monitor her. tried to put her in the cpap mode. her O2 sat was 99 but still it was hard for her to breath…so, back to ambubaging.

and then the dietary staff told me that WE NEED TO BUY HER MILK (NUTREN JUNIOR). last mixture will be at 2am.

and then another bomb exploded, DOCTORS ORDERED A REPEAT OF BLOOD CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY (it’s worth P2,500.).they stated AIAH’S CONDITION WAS WORST. xray was worst, cbc was worst…abg was worst…they suspected, maybe she has another infection aside from klebsiella.we have to know if she needs another antibiotic to add to meropenem (the golden antibiotic).THANK GOD! SOME PEOPLE DONATED MEROPENEM.

we have to settle the blood and the blood culture and sensitivity immediately. I WANT TO SCREAM! I WANT TO EXPLODE! I WANT TO CRY…BUT NO!!! I HAVE TO BE STRONG. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO BE STRONG.

my sister who never fail to help me all the way was started to feel not well. she started coughing. she and i had no chance to go home for a couple of days, because we have no one to rely on to take care of aiah. i already conditioned her to go home to get some rest for my sister in law agreed to be left with me… but another problem came. a text message came from my ate, “MY ELDEST HAS A SLIGHT FEVER FOR SHE HAS A DRY COUGH”…THAT’S IT! right there and then, i broke down and cry…PAGOD NA PAGOD NA ‘KO… HANGGANG KAILAN…? i don’t want anyone to see me crying…but i really can’t fight it anymore.

i have to make a decision. i don’t want to leave aiah in that condition but i have to go home. Phia (my eldest daughter) needs a close monitoring when she has fever because she had experienced seizure.

but before we leave, we have to settle aiah’s needs. my husband came…gave me 2k, from whom he lended it, i don’t know. i paid the partial payment of blood c/s and the half of the amount of the blood she needs because i didn’t find another donor.

We are appealing to our good and sincere friends out here, in facebook, in friendster, in blogs, in any online that is possible, for asking additional funds to support our baby Aiah who is in the ICU as of this moment.

Please help, we beg for an alms for our baby’s last option to make it or not to make at all if we did not provide the needed funds for this last option. Last option was advice by our doctors and that is an operation on baby Aiah’s left side lung (open biopsy operation).

Sana mabigyan nyo kami ng pansin at panahon at tulong financial sa ganitong difficult moment ng aking pamilya. Sorry but to make it here, the asking of financial help, means that we sorted out all our ways to sustain baby Aiah’s medication needs. Her daily ventilator (of Php1,500 a day), antibiotics (of almost Php4,000 a day), and other miscellaneous(of Php1,200).

Now she is needing funds for open biopsy operation and we don’t even know more how we could provide the said amount of almost 50 thousand pesos. We tried to seek on ppoliticians but they can give is atmost of 1 thousand pesos in kind of donation, that is consumeable through miscellaneous needs.

O kaya may ginintuang puso dyan na pwedeng magpahiram ng pera, pwede ko pong i collateral ang APV Van 2008 model, House and lot of 40 square meters.

- Around 11 PM, doctors are reviving baby Aiah and they succeeded, thanks be to God, now (Jan.17.2010) they gave new antibiotics, the oxygen settings is set to higher for baby Aiah is more dependent for more oxygen.

Aiang!!! ang sambit ko sa loob ng ICU habang ginagawan ng paraan ng mga doctors si baby Aiah na marecover, bumabagsak angn oxygen nya, halos umaabot below 50, lakas loob lang at sambit ko sa sarili ko na Bahala na Po Kayo Ama sa aking Anak, sana Po ay wag nyo na po syang pahirapan at sabi ko rin na tulungan Nyo po sya…

This is maybe my last resort for our current critical problem with our baby girl of 1 year and months old, currently admitted in Philippine Children’s Medical Center, in Intensive Care Unit for the fourth times of admission, diagnosed of Interstitial Lung Disease.

Pasensya na po pero, kapatid nasa critical na condition po si baby Aiah, nakalapit na rin po ako sa kapatiran, natulungan po kami sa LKD subalit matagal po ang processo. pasensya na po, nakalapit na rin po kami sa iba’t ibang sangay ng charity, subalit halos small percentage lang po talaga ang sagot nila at salamat sa Dios na meron din kahit papaano.

Dahil sa tagal na po ni baby Aiah sa hospital since Feb. 1, 2009, kaya halos lahat na po ng financial na resources na pwede po naming pagkunan at nalapitan ay naubos na, parang awa nyo na po sakluluhan nyo po sana ang aking anak Kapatid na Eli. Kung maaari po ay mapahiram nyo po kami ng perang pang-opera nya sa Thursday Aug 27.

Ako po si kapatid na Jimmy C. De Guzman B1100082 ang ID number, taga lokal ng bagong silang kanan, zone 2, North District, Metro Manila. Nabautismuhan po ako March 25, 2001 9:50 PM ni kapatid na Ato Tobias sa Apalit Pangpanga. Ang destinong manggagawa sa lokal namin po ay si Kapatid na Rey Aying.

Nitong Aug 11 isinugod po si baby Aiah dahil sa hirap na po syang huminga, 5:30 am nang atakihin at naidala namin sa ER ng Philippine Children’s Medical Center ng 6:30 am. Nag-pump na po ang mga doctors at halos wala ng malay ang baby namin ni Kapatid Analiza Bugarin De Guzman, sa awa ng Dios ay narecover po sya. Naka tatlong araw po kami sa ER at tsaka lang nailagay sa ICU nang may makha po kaming pera pang admit sa ICU.

Na-CT Scan nitong Aug 22 (SAT) at ang result ay nakuha kahapon Aug 24(MON) ang resulta po ay may malaking parang lubo na nag-form sa baga ni baby Aiah at may mga nana na nakita sa both lungs at may nakita po na cyst sa right kidney. Itong thursday ay plano po nilang i opera si baby Aiah, nagawa na po namin ang lahat na pwedeng gawin ng isang magulang para maitawid ang araw-araw na antibiotic na nagkakahalaga ng 3,000.00 pesos na patuloy pa rin hanggang ngayon pwera pa ang mga pangpausok na combivent at salbutamol na ang frequence ay every 6 hours.

Sana po ay mapahiram nyo po kami ng perang pang-paopera at panggastos pang gamot araw araw na kakailanganin ni baby Aiah. Ako po ay nangangako na habang may buhay na ipagkakaloob ang Dios sa amin ay aming di kalilimutan at babayaran sa inyo, sige na po, parang awa nyo na po sa baby ko.
